Located at #215- 9440 202nd Street Langley, BC V1M 4A6, this full-time permanent position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule ensuring 40 hours per week.

Why this role matters

We are currently seeking a Technical Inside Sales team member for our PAC Division, focused on Automation and Controls. In this role, you will build strong customer relationships by generating accurate quotations and sales orders while working closely with Business Development to support projects and deliver excellent customer service.

Technical knowledge is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Success in this role comes from your ability to learn quickly, understand technical concepts, and confidently apply that knowledge in a practical, customer-focused environment.

What to expect in the role

• Customer Service. You will receive a high level of quote requests, and inquiries from customers therefore having the ability to engage and build relationships in a meaningful and professional manner is vital.
• Team Work and Collaboration. You will be collaborating with vendors, manufacturers, and our internal staff at the Branch to provide expertise or for order processing.
• Solution-Oriented. You will be communicating with customers to determine appropriate solutions to troubleshooting, pricing, and product mix. This also includes vendor documentation and certifications.
• Technical Expertise. Demonstrated knowledge who enjoys hands-on work with process, instrumentation, automation, and controls.
• Problem Solver. You are an innovative problem solver that is flexible, adaptable and positive
• Continuous Improvement. You have a passion for excellence and continuous learning

Ideal candidate profile

• Diploma in a relevant technical specialty or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with the Siemens product line (PLCs and VFDs) is considered an asset; training will be provided to the right candidate
• Customer service experience and strong communication skills (phone and email)
• Technical understanding of E.B. Horsman & Son products and services
• Intermediate MS Office skills with the ability to learn new software
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle pressure, and maintain a positive attitude
• Strong competencies in negotiation, networking, relationship building, planning, organizing, problem-solving, and results orientation
• Ability to work inclusively, collaboratively, and respectfully
• Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage heavy workloads while staying detail-oriented despite interruptions
• Professional phone demeanor and ability to read fine print
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, supplier meetings, and training
• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods
• Basic mathematical skills
